Oil Seed Rape Shavings are made from the rape straw left after the harvesting of the oil seed rape crop. The straw is baled into large big square bales at moistures typically between 6 to 12%. We bale large amounts of wheat, barley, oat, and rape straw for feeding and bedding for supply to animal owners throughout Ireland and only the best of the rape straw is selected for the process of our Oil Seed Rape Shavings.
The rape straw is loaded and stacked in dry sheds. It is then put through our modern state of the art processing plant. Here it is put through a combination of chopping, grinding and milling processes. It then travels through our unique aggressive dust extraction system, which leaves it virtually dust free. From here it is bagged, palletised and wrapped ready for delivery to your door.
Single pallets are delivered within 4 working days anywhere in Ireland and all prices given include delivery. We also have our own truck with a mounted forklift for large loads up to 18 pallets.

Since our used shavings are highly biodegradable, they are broken rapidly down and provide an excellent natural fertiliser – recycling from field to stable and back to field.
